“NO OTHER KINGDOM, NO OTHER KING” – KATUKIRO IDI KIWANUKA REIGNS FIRE AT KAMUSWAGA’S 22ND CORONATION ANNIVERSARY
In a moment that will be etched into the oral history of Kooki for generations, the Katukiro (Prime Minister) of Kooki Kingdom, Owekitibwa Idi Kiwanuka, delivered a thunderous declaration during the 22nd Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Highness The Kamuswaga. Standing before a sea of loyal subjects and visiting dignitaries, the Katukiro reminded the people of Kooki that there is no other kingdom and no other king they will ever have apart from Kooki Kingdom.
“Love Kooki with all what you have,” Owekitibwa Kiwanuka proclaimed, his voice carrying across the royal grounds in Rakai. “For Kooki is not a choice. It is birth. It is blood. It is destiny.”
The Katukiro, widely regarded as a key pillar in the development of the kingdom, used the anniversary platform to call for unity, self-determination, and pride in Kooki’s distinct identity—separate yet respected among Uganda’s cultural institutions. His words drew standing ovations from the youth, the royal family, and even visiting kings from Buruuli, Omwenengo Bwa Bugwe, and Bunyara.
The 22nd Coronation Anniversary, originally set for May 15 but rescheduled due to the presidential swearing-in and Ebola concerns, became the perfect backdrop for what many are calling the “Katukiro’s Covenant”—a pledge that under H.R.H. The Kamuswaga, Kooki will never play second fiddle to any cultural narrative.
